1. What is "Office Labs"?
We're a group within Microsoft that tests ideas by building prototypes and gathering usage data to inform ongoing and future research and development in the productivity space for both work and home. If you’re feeling experimental and want to try out concepts in other technology areas, visit our partner page for other Microsoft research and labs efforts.

2. What are all these things to try?
They are prototype implementations of various ideas the Office Labs team is testing for viability. They are concepts that we experiment and may or may not make it to a real application.

3. These prototypes are features coming in the next release of Office, right?
Not necessarily. It's possible that some of them will appear in some form although there are no current product plans for any of them.

5. Can I run my business with these tools?
These prototypes are unsupported so we don't think that would be a good idea.

7. How often will new prototypes be added to the site?
